I’m a big believer that you should appreciate the love you have with your partner all year round, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with making a point to do a little something special together on Valentine’s Day. I don’t know what the weather has been like where you live, but it’s been raining on repeat in the Bay Area.
I hadn’t actually intended to make this into a DIY, but when I saw on Instagram that Anthropologie had a holiday gift wrapping contest, I decided I just had to enter. If you’ve been reading for awhile, you know my obsession for all things Anthropologie. Although I didn’t win (hashtag sad face), I’m still pretty happy with the way my entry turned out, so I thought I’d share.
Ah, November. You’re one of my favorites.
Maybe it’s the chill in the air. Or the warm golden tones of your falling leaves. Or the excitement I feel about getting together with family.
Whatever it is, I’m all about you.
I’m always on the hunt for inexpensive ways to decorate our place and as much as I love the pretty brands of soap they sell at Anthropologie (hello Lollia, Wind + Wisper and Barr Co.), it’s hard to justify the expense. Especially since I basically just buy them for ‘show’ to pretty up the guest bathroom and rarely even use the soap inside.
Raise your hand if you like chocolate. *raises hand*
This savory-ish chocolate dipping sauce is inspired by our trip to St. Lucia. One of the hotels we stayed at while we were there was the Boucan (read the post here), which sits on a lush cacao plantation. Their restaurant incorporates cacao into pretty much everything on their menu in some of the most inventive ways (like cacao gazpacho, cacao gin Mahi Mahi and Rum Baba with cacao whipped cream).
